Do What it Takes!

Again, Brother Billy reporting...
It has come to my attention that I need to consume roughly 3500 calories per day to maintain my current bodyweight. If I want to gain 1 lb per week, I have to add 500 calories per day to my diet. The thing is, I want to gain at least 1 lb per day so that means I have to add that 3500 calories per week to my diet daily!
Now in my effort to meet my caloric needs, I eat some pretty nasty stuff. It is redundant to mention the egg-smoothies yet again. And the milk we all know about as well, but the other stuff - not so much. This is why I have included a picture of one of the meals I ate today:
2 x 1/2 lb beef burger patties with 5 strips of bacon each sandwiched by white, sesame seed buns dressed with mustard and Miracle Whip.
It also helped to have a Guinness to wash it down...

More Calories

Brother Billy here...

I'm up, it's 1:00 am. I'm eating a bowl of Cheerios with 2% milk. Why? Because I need more calories.

Last Friday was day #4, workout #2 and my pre-workout weigh-in amounted to 190.2 lbs - a gain of 2.7 lbs in 3 days. Not bad. This past Tuesday, however, my pre-workout weigh-in registered me at... 190.2 lbs. It's only been a week, and I've already witnessed a plateau. Time to adjust~

So what's the fix? MORE CALORIES. I calculated my daily caloric intake and even though I am eating a shit-tonne of protein, the calories are lacking. This is why I'm stepping it up, and I'm using Brother Antoine's diet secrets to make it happen: In a word - milk. That's right, to my 12 raw egg smoothie/day high-protein diet I will now be supplementing with a bunch of milk. Maybe not a gallon, but enough to make it happen.

Onwards and upwards...

My Champion Egg-Smoothie Blender

Food Diary

Hey All,

I've been keeping a detailed food diary to account for what I consume on a daily basis. For sake of interest I've decided to list what I ate yesterday so everyone can get a better idea of what this insanity entails...

12:00 pm - egg smoothie (6 raw eggs, 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup black cherry juice, 1/2 lime juiced, 650 mg alfalfa supplement, 1 scoop SISU protein powder, 1 papaya extract tablet)

12:45 pm - salad (spinach, sprouted lentils, cucumber, celery) + dressing (olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cayenne pepper, coarse salt and pepper) + bowl of chilli (ground beef, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, celery, red onion, green beans, corn, chick peas, black beans, kidney beans)

5:45 pm - 2 slices hawaiian pizza + vitamin water

Gosh! Damn! Two skinny guys searching for Justice.

Brother Antoine here,

So here's the deal. Brother Billy and I are using Tim Ferriss's one month mass-gaining program in an attempt to naturally gain ass much lean body mass in one month while only working out twice a week.  And why are we attempting this? One, for kicks, and two, to prove to any doubters that this can be done and three, to become eternal champions.
To do so, we apply the following formula:

lifting heavy weights + eating a ton + lots of sleep=glory= mass

As far as lifting goes, we're doing one set to failure on 7 key compound barbell or body-weight exercises at a 5 seconds up/5 seconds down pace to maximize time under tension.
Diet, wise, we're trying to max out our caloric intake and boost up our protein intake. For me that means eating a lot and drinking a gallon of whole milk. That's right, a gallon. That's about 1900 kCal right there. According to science, my body needs to consume over 2400 kCal a day to gain. So that means I'm gonna be drinking 120 liters of milk this month. Oh and for our hormones, guts and stomachs not to get used to super-eating like this, we drop caloric intake by half every sixth day so our bodies don't know what hit them.
Oh and the last part is the easiest. Sleep. A lot of sleep.

That's it from me for today, stay tuned for our next update after workout number two. This is going to be extreme. Glory times ahead.

A Dozen Eggs and a Gallon of Milk?

Brother Billy reporting...

What's with the name? Well, it all has to do with the dietary regimen that accompanies our rigourous workout plan.

I was told that the only way my late uncle ever gained weight was by drinking (that's right - drinking) 12 raw eggs per day. I figure if it worked for him, it can work for me. So far I've been dabbling with different blends and most of them have been foul (no pun intended) but today I finally found one that goes down well. Here are the ingredients:

1 cup plain yogurt (5% fat)
1 cup black cherry juice
1/2 lime (squeezed)
6 raw eggs
1 scoop SISU protein powder (chocolate flavoured)

I do this twice a day and in the breakfast version I include a 650 mg pill of alfalfa plus a chewable papaya enzyme tablet.

I'll leave it to Brother Antoine to explain the milk...
